We worked together with the research center MIK at Mondragon University to fully digitalize their triple-impact evaluation tool. The main challenge of this project was to create a custom, multi-step questionnaire that would allow any company to easily assess its environmental, social and governance performance. The final result is displayed visually on the web, and a PDF is automatically generated and sent by email, making the experience complete from start to finish.

In addition to all the functional logic, we handled the full design of the landing page as well as the entire user experience of both the questionnaire and the results interface. We designed the charts, the indicators and the step-by-step interactions, creating a clean, aesthetic and fully responsive interface. The whole visual system adheres to MIK Mondragon’s brand identity and to the guidelines provided by their team, ensuring coherence, accessibility and a smooth experience throughout.

For the multi-step form we used Formly, which allowed us to build a structured flow fully aligned with MIK’s methodology. This enables each user to move through the questionnaire step by step, completing each block while their responses are encoded directly in the URL via urlParams.

On the results page, the system reads the parameters included in the URL and automatically cross-references them with the data stored in Google Sheets, where all benchmarks and sector averages are kept. From there, Google App Scripts processes all the information and performs the necessary calculations. Finally, the full report is rendered, including bar charts, color-coded percentage indicators and sector comparisons that allow the user to instantly understand where their company stands in each triple-impact category.

To complete the experience we used Printable.js to generate the PDF. Its role is to capture the fully rendered HTML, prepare it for printing and send it to a serverless function hosted on Vercel. The function then connects to Resend, which sends the PDF to the user as an email attachment, closing a fully automated flow with no manual intervention.

Throughout the entire development process, we used Cursor AI to help generate the JS files that were ultimately deployed on Netlify.

The end result is a robust and fully digitalized tool capable of guiding any company through the ESG assessment process, presenting clear and visually engaging results, and delivering a professional report in just seconds. An end-to-end experience that combines methodology, design and technology to make a complex process feel simple.
